Pick-up at the hotel at 8:15 for a visit to Naples of approximately 2 hours; first stop at the Duomo to admire inside the Baroque-style Treasure Chapel and the Basilica of Santa Restituta, the first paleochristian basilica of the 4th century AD. Then we continue passing through the Piazza Municipio where the imposing fortress of Anjou's house, the Castel Nuovo, is erected to arrive in the Posillipo area with a stop on the terrace of the church of S.Antonio from where you can enjoy the best view of the city and the gulf. We return by minibus to the city center in the Plaza del Plebiscito where it is possible to see from the outside the Royal Palace, the splendid neoclassical church of San Francisco de Paola, the Umberto I gallery and the San Carlo theater. Transfer to Pompeii for a guided tour of the archaeological excavations. You will visit the most interesting places in the city such as the Forum, the Thermal Baths, the Casa de los Vetti and the Lupanar buried by ash and lava during the volcanic eruption of 79 AD. Lunch break that includes pizza, margarita and drinks. Transfer to Torre del Greco from which you can access the Vesuvius National Park up to altitude 1000. Stop at the car park and walk to the top of the only active volcano in continental Europe. Visit the impressive crater at 1,200 meters above sea level from which you can admire the Gulf of Naples from Cape Miseno to Punta Campanella. Return to the hotel around 17:30.
