You'll depart from Naples and begin your tour with a visit to Mount Vesuvius. Once you enter the Vesuvius National Park you will admire an impressive naturalistic panorama with a wonderful view of the Bay of Naples. The bus will drop you off at an altitude of 1000m, from where you will begin your 1km walk up to the crater to admire the entire city of Naples with its coastline and learn more about the geology of the volcano with the explanation of a local mountain guide.
After the visit of Vesuvius, you will continue the tour towards the excavations of Herculaneum. After about 20 minutes of driving, you will be dropped off near the main entrance to the ruins. You will have the possibility to skip the line by showing your voucher and you will have 2 hours and 30 minutes of free time to discover the site walking in full autonomy.
Herculaneum was the first site to be discovered in the 18th century and has become one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world. Today it has several points of interest such as the mosaic atrium, the house of deer, the thermal baths of the forum, the house of Neptune and Amphitrite mosaics, which are definitely worth a visit. Finally you will make your return to Naples.
